This draft refund policy reflects a consulting and coaching business model with custom engagements, hourly services, and appointment-based delivery.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This Refund Policy explains how J. I Education LTD handles cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, credits, and fee adjustments in relation to enquiries, hourly sessions, coaching engagements, consulting projects, retainers, and other paid services offered through https://jieducationltd.com or by direct arrangement.
Because our services are time-based, customised, and often begin with preparatory analysis or reserved diary time, refunds are not handled in the same way as for mass-market physical goods. This policy is designed to be fair to clients while also protecting the time, preparation, and opportunity costs associated with professional services.
2. General Rule
Unless a specific written agreement states otherwise, fees paid for completed sessions, time already spent, work already performed, or deliverables already created are non-refundable. Refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased, the timing of cancellation, the stage of work completed, and whether costs or third-party commitments have already been incurred.
3. Deposits and Advance Payments
Deposits or booking fees may be required to secure consulting time, coaching sessions, workshops, or project slots. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, such deposits are generally non-refundable once a booking is confirmed because they reserve capacity and may involve preliminary work, planning, or foregone business opportunities.
Where a deposit is stated to be creditable against future fees, it may be applied as agreed but will not necessarily be refundable in cash.
4. Hourly Sessions and Single Appointments
For one-off hourly appointments, strategy calls, coaching sessions, or advisory meetings, clients may request to reschedule by giving at least 48 hours’ written notice. If sufficient notice is given, we may, at our discretion, reschedule the appointment once without additional charge, subject to availability.
If cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, or if the client fails to attend, the fee is ordinarily non-refundable and the session may be treated as delivered. In exceptional circumstances supported by evidence, we may choose to offer a partial credit, but this is discretionary unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
5. Multi-Session Packages and Retainers
Where services are sold as a package, programme, or retainer, any refund will usually be calculated only on the unused and unearned portion of the service after deducting work already performed, time reserved, onboarding, planning, administrative time, and any discounts that were conditional on commitment to the package or retainer term.
If early termination removes the basis for a package discount, we may recalculate the value of services already provided at the standard rate and deduct that amount before determining whether any balance remains refundable.
6. Custom Projects and Consulting Engagements
Project-based consulting work often begins before visible deliverables are sent, including research, review, internal preparation, agenda development, stakeholder coordination, and strategy formulation. For this reason, project fees or milestone payments become non-refundable once the relevant phase has commenced unless we materially fail to provide the agreed service.
Where a project is cancelled after work has started, the client remains responsible for all fees accrued up to the date of cancellation, plus any committed third-party costs, taxes, or unavoidable expenses.
7. Client Delays and Inactivity
If a project or package is delayed because the client fails to provide information, approvals, access, attendance, or timely feedback, we may pause the work. Long periods of client inactivity may cause the project to be archived, reprioritised, or treated as abandoned. In such cases, no refund is guaranteed for reserved capacity or completed preparatory work.
Reactivation of dormant work may require a new timeline, updated fees, or a restart charge.
8. Refunds for Company Cancellation
If we cancel a paid session or engagement before any meaningful work has been performed and cannot offer a reasonable rescheduling alternative, we will ordinarily offer either a full refund for the affected portion or a credit, at the client’s choice where practical.
If we have already completed part of the work, any refund will normally be limited to the unperformed portion, unless a larger refund is required by law or warranted by the circumstances.
9. Dissatisfaction and Service Issues
If you believe the service was not delivered substantially as agreed, you should contact us promptly with a clear written explanation of the issue, relevant dates, and the remedy requested. We will review concerns in good faith and may propose clarification, corrective work, a replacement session, partial credit, or another commercially reasonable solution.
Refunds will not ordinarily be granted merely because advice was not implemented, outcomes took longer than expected, or subjective preferences changed after work was delivered, unless there was a material failure on our part.
10. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude mandatory rights that may apply under consumer protection law. If you are a consumer and applicable law gives you cancellation or refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, those rights will apply. However, where you ask us to begin supplying digital or service content during a cancellation period, you may lose the right to a full refund for the portion already supplied, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Method and Timing of Refunds
Approved refunds will ordinarily be processed using the original payment method, unless that is impracticable or another method is mutually agreed. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, banking system, and currency. Administrative or transaction fees charged by third parties may be deducted where legally permitted and transparently disclosed.
12. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, cancellation, or rescheduling, please contact j.i.educations@gmail.com and include your full name, company name if relevant, invoice or payment reference, service booked, scheduled date, reason for the request, and the remedy sought. Prompt communication improves the chances of resolving the matter efficiently and fairly.
13. Policy Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking or purchase will generally apply to that transaction unless a later version is more favourable to you or required by law.
